Grow Your Email List Through Presentations

Companies and organizations hoping to increase revenue and make more of an impact on a larger community typically start at their email list. This list provides them with numerous contacts who are interested in their product or service, as well as any content they create and throw out into the universe. Although many presentations are offline activities – aside from SlideShares and webinars – they can complement your online efforts in a monumental way. Try some of the following methods to increase your email list today!

1. Sign-Up Sheets

It’s commonplace at speaking engagements that guests are required to sign-in. Go one step further and give your audience members an opportunity to sign-up for exclusive content or continued digital conversations.

2. Business Cards

Face-to-face meetings and presentations allow for presenters to utilize business cards to their advantage. Place an offer or call to action on your business card that promotes a particular email drip. Ask audience members to sign up for these emails. Also, use the sign-in desk as an opportunity to gather business cards from others. Add an incentive to do so.

3. Request Referrals

Following your presentation, make an ask. For example, request that your audience provide you with a type of referral by encouraging them to deliver the email or contact information for a friend or colleague in need of your product or services. If your presentation was spectacular, it is highly likely that you’ll get some referrals.

4. Call to Actions

A free consultation or introduction to your product and services in response to signatures opting into email workflows is a perfect call to action to include at the end of your presentation or speech. Those presenters looking to build their email lists should craft the most compelling call to actions aimed towards their email lists.
