Best Presentation Tech Under $125

1. Logitech R800 – Price tag: $54.01

The Logitech R800 presentation remote is a solid device that is able to meet almost any presenter’s needs. With slide controls that function from 100 feet away and that allow a presenter to progress forward through a presentation or even go backwards, the Logitech R800 is especially useful for the presenter who enjoys walking around on stage or through an audience. This presentation remote also include a built-in timer, which alerts a presenter through vibrations when there are 5 minutes, 2 minutes, and zero minutes remaining to present. On the other hand, this device does not visually exhibit the timer, so you will have to rely on the vibrations to pace your presentation delivery. Another great aspect of this remote is the built-in laser pointer, which is displayed as green instead of the typical red. Since green has a higher frequency than red, it is easier to see when you point something out on the screen for your audience. Although the device comes with a flash drive, it is not ideal for storage. For those hoping to impact the sound of their presentation with this remote, they will be disappointed. If you have video or sound effects in your presentation, ensure ahead of time that the volume is exactly where you want it, since this remote will not be able to alter the levels during your talk. Finally, the Logitech R800 does not allow hyperlink-clicking – a negative for many modern-day presenters who use this strategy in their presentations. Despite its few downsides, the Logitech R800 has impeccable functionality and usability, as well as an easily executed set-up as described in the following video.
