Microsoft Sway interactive charts and graphs are another great way to add interactive elements to presentations. Here’s what Microsoft has to say about this new feature for Sway:

With the addition of native charts, it’s easy to add a variety of interactive data visualizations to enhance your Sways—including column, stacked column, bar, stacked bar, line, pie, donut pie, area, stacked area and bar charts with people icons. Check out an example interactive chart in this Sway, where you can tap or click “sales” or “profits” to filter the chart accordingly!

1. Insert Chart

–     Click on Cards in the upper navigation menu.

–     Scroll through the menu on the left; click on Chart.

2. Enter Data

–    In the upper right hand corner, click on the chart icon.

–    Enter the data for your chart or graph.

3. Customize Chart or Graph

–    In the upper right hand corner, click on the gear icon to open Settings.

–    Give the chart a title.

–    Label the X and Y axes.

–    Set your other preferences in Settings.

–    As you can see below, you can interact with the data by clicking on the labels in the upper left hand corner of the slide.

4. Select Chart Type

–    This step can be completed at the end or beginning of the chart creation process.

–    Either way, click on the graph icon on the upper right hand corner.

–    Select the best chart or graph style for your data visualization.
