Let me tell you a story. The year was 1987: Michael Jackson released Bad, his third solo album; Dirty Dancing won the hearts of every teenage girl, and Microsoft acquired Presenter, the presentation software renamed PowerPoint.
Fast forward from 1987 to the autumn of 2014.
There was a rumor: Microsoft would once again invest in the future of presentations.
The rumor was true.
On October 1, 2014, Microsoft announced Sway, a presentation app for designing and sharing web-based, interactive presentations.

Sway has a lot of potential to be a disruptive presentation tool. However the app is still a work-in-progress, and is currently available by invitation only. The full power and impact of Sway remains undetermined.
