I talk quite a bit about keep things edgy and fast when giving a presentation that is geared for Gen X and Y audiences. What do I mean by edgy and fast? For starters, don’t spend 2-5 minutes per slide. Try to keep your slides moving at 5-20 seconds a piece. You can do this by simply choosing a compelling background, adding great typography, and repeating this process for the rest of your presentation deck. Remember to have a key concept or word for each slide.
There are lots of brilliant typography pieces (like the one below) all over the web that you can pull inspiration from, particularly on YouTube. I love these pieces. They are engaging, simple, and beautifully done. Here is one my favorites:
